Ghanche District, the easternmost district of Gilgit-Baltistan, is one of the coldest places in Pakistan. It is also referred to as the "Third Pole" as the temperature often drops down to -20 °C during the winters. Ghanche Distric leads to Khaplu Valley and Hushe Valley as well as to the sub-range of Karakoram including the majestic peaks of K2, Broad Peak, Gasherbrums and Masherbrum.
