LEADING budget carrier Cebu Pacific may now launch new long-haul flights after the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) awarded it an extended diversion time operations (EDTO), which refers to a set of rules introduced by the International Civil Aviation Organization (Icao) for airlines operating twin-engine aircraft on routes beyond 60 minutes flying time from the nearest airport of up to 120 minutes.
